Our Story
We’ve provided Senior Caregiving and Consultation services in the Temecula area for over nine years and have since relaunched our company as AdvanCare. Our new name comes along with an expanded team, additional services that reflect our mission, and the need to build relationships for generations to come.
When Amy Freitas co-founded AdvanCare, with her husband John, she wasn’t just starting another Temecula homecare agency, she was fulfilling a deeply personal mission. Her journey into senior care began when her mother was diagnosed with brain cancer. As her mother’s primary caregiver, Amy experienced firsthand the emotional and physical toll caregiving takes on families. That life-changing experience opened her eyes to the overwhelming need for compassionate, personalized, and trustworthy care services. It also gave her a clear vision: to build an assisted living service in Temecula that treats every client like family.
Today, as the co-owner and CEO of AdvanCare, Amy leads one of the most respected senior care agencies in the Inland Empire. Serving both Riverside and San Diego Counties, AdvanCare’s senior caregivers in Temecula provides a full spectrum of in-home care services, including 24-hour support, Alzheimer’s and dementia care, post-operative recovery, hospice and palliative care, and individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs and preferences. Under Amy’s leadership, AdvanCare has become known for its quality, integrity, and unwavering commitment to dignity in aging.
Amy’s personal caregiving journey continues to influence every aspect of her business—from the way caregivers are trained to how families are supported throughout the care process. She ensures that every member of her team embodies the compassion and professionalism that she herself needed during her own family’s time of crisis.
Beyond her business, Amy is a passionate community advocate. She actively volunteers with several nonprofit organizations, including the Alzheimer’s Association, where she participates in fundraising, public education, and awareness events. She also collaborates with local senior centers and caregiver support groups, offering her time and expertise to help others navigate the challenges of aging and caregiving.
